🏁 Shamble
2v2 or two foursomesMain gameteams
A shamble is a scramble off the tee and real golf after that: the team picks the best drive, then everyone plays their own ball in. Bad Golf App counts each team’s best 1 or 2 net balls per hole, applies the shamble handicap allowance and tracks whose drive was used.
How Shamble works
How it works: A scramble off the tee, then real golf. Everyone on the team drives, the team picks the best drive, and each player plays their own ball from there to the hole.
Scoring: Two teams. On every hole a team counts its best 1 or 2 net balls (your choice) and adds them up. The lowest 18-hole team total wins the bet per player; a tie is a push.
Handicaps: Handicaps are cut by the shamble allowance (50% is common for pairs, 30–35% for foursomes) because everyone plays from the best drive.
Example: Best 2 balls count, 5 u per player. On a par 4, Team A nets 4 and 5 (9); Team B nets 4 and 4 (8). Team B is one better on the hole. Add up all 18 holes and the lower total wins 5 u per player.
On the score screen: Everyone enters their own score, and you tap whose drive was used. The scorecard keeps the drive count and warns if anyone is under the minimum.
In a tournament: Each cart is a team, ranked on the Event Leaderboard by its best 1 or 2 net balls per hole. Everyone puts in the same amount and the winning cart splits it; a tie for first is a push.
Setup options: Best 1 or best 2 balls, shamble allowance, units per player, team picker.
Teams must be even.
