📊 Stableford
any numberMain game
Stableford turns each hole into points (eagle 4, birdie 3, par 2, bogey 1, worse 0), so one disaster hole cannot wreck your round. Bad Golf Applies handicap strokes hole by hole and settles either as an entry pool or per point.
How Stableford works
How it works: Points-based scoring against par. Each hole earns: Double Eagle=5 pts, Eagle=4, Birdie=3, Par=2, Bogey=1, Double bogey or worse=0. High score wins — unlike stroke play, big blowup holes barely matter (they just score 0).
Scoring mode 1 — Entry pool: Everyone puts in a fixed amount. The player with the most total points wins. Two award options: Winner takes all — highest points wins the entire prize pool (ties split evenly). 80/20 — 1st place takes 80% of the prize pool, 2nd place takes 20% (ties at the same position split that share).
Example (80/20): 5 entry, 4 players = 20 prize pool. A: 42 pts, B: 36 pts, C: 30 pts, D: 28 pts. A wins 16 (80%), B wins 4 (20%). C and D each lose 5.
Scoring mode 2 — Per-point value: No entry. At the end of the round each pair settles by their total point difference × u/pt. Beat someone by 6 pts at 1 u/pt → they are behind you by 6.
Setup options: Scoring mode, entry or u/pt, award type, net (recommended) or gross.
Works for any number of players (2+). One of the most popular formats in recreational and competitive golf worldwide.
