☂️ Umbrella

4 players (2v2)Main game

Umbrella is the 2v2 game where every hole is worth its hole number and five points are up for grabs: low ball, low total, two GIR points and a birdie. Sweep all five and the hole doubles. Bad Golf App counts every category and the umbrella bonus.

How Umbrella works

How it works: A 2v2 team game where the points grow all round. Every hole has five points up for grabs, and each point is worth the hole number — 1 apiece on hole 1, all the way up to 18 apiece on hole 18. The five points each hole:

• Low ball — the team with the single lowest score.
• Low total — the team with the lower combined two-ball total.
• GIR (partner 1) and GIR (partner 2) — one point per partner slot; your player greens in regulation while the matching opponent doesn't.
• Birdie — either partner makes a birdie.

Win a point outright to take it; a tie awards it to nobody.

☂️ The umbrella: if one team sweeps all five points while the other scores zero, that hole's points double. A tie on any single point kills the umbrella.

Example: On hole 8 (worth 8 each) your team wins low ball, low total, one GIR and the birdie — 4 points × 8 = 32 — but the other team grabs the second GIR, so no umbrella. On hole 12 you sweep all five while they get none: 5 × 12 = 60, doubled to 120.

Settlement: the running point difference between the teams × your u/point, scored per player. Play it net (by stroke index) or gross.

Exactly 4 players, two teams of 2. The two GIR points need GIR tracking turned on for the round.
